SUBJECT: CALENDAR OF ACTIVITIES AND CAMPAIGNS

During the Third International Assembly, the workshops conducted by the commissions or the equivalent thereof were the most focused on drawing up programs of action (including major activities and campaigns) in connection with their respective concerns and resolutions.
In this memorandum, we wish to expand the sources of information regarding activities and campaigns in which ILPS or any part thereof may be involved as initiator, participant, supporter or cooperator and which therefore may be placed in a calendar of ICC, ICG and General Secretariat for possible expressions of solidarity, calls to action and concrete support.
We request all the delegations to the TIA, ILPS member-organizations, national chapters and global region committees as well as the commissions or equivalents thereof to submit before the end of July 2008 a list of ongoing and forthcoming activities and campaigns that they are involved in or interested in any way from July 2008 to the end of 2009. They must cite the issue, participants, the supporters, the social, geographic and time scale of each activity or campaign and whatever is expected from any pertinent ILPS organ or organization.
The ICG and General Secretariat shall use the submitted lists to draw up an international calendar of activities and campaigns for the benefit of the ICC and the entire ILPS. Such a calendar will inform the entire ILPS of the issues, scope and intensity of the anti-imperialist and democratic struggles that the ILPS is involved in or interested in and will help rouse and muster solidarity and concrete support from the organs, member-organizations, masses and allies of the ILPS.
